MCT Training College, Malappuram was established in 1995.

The college is managed under Muslim Cultural Trust.

The Muslim Cultural Trust, Malappuram which is managing the institution is headed by Panakkad Sayed Rasheedali Shihab Thangal.

The Trust is running a Teacher Training Institute in the same campus. NCTE, SRC, Bangalore Sanctioned recognition for starting M Ed course from the year 2007-08.

The aim of the Trust is to bring higher education to the doorsteps of the ordinary citizens of the District.
