Mata Bhagwati Devi Girls Govt. Degree College, Agra was established in 1996.

Its affiliated to the Kurukshetra University.

About 6.5 acre land was donated for the college by Gayatri Shaktipeeth AnwalKhera.

The College was constructed by Jal Nigam, Agra, situated on Jalesar Road at a distance of 24 km from ISBT Agra. The College is Women College situated in rural area of Agra district. In rural areas, still education is very limited for girls.

The College is a step to provide education / opportunities to girls who can afford to go to colleges situated far away from their home.

The College approach to make girls aware of their responsibilities and to make them laborious self confident, self reliant and overall empowered women-college is near to nature which provide best atmosphere for education and learning.

The College building is an example of Ideal Educational Institute providing space, peace, knowledge and a pollution free surrounding to the students.

The College consists of magnificent and dignified Principle Office, a comfortable and airy staff room, one computer laboratory with sufficient terminals to work on and six large and ventilated lecture halls.

Home Science and Physical Education Departments are well equipped for students to work on. A cell for NSS is maintained by the college to encourage various social service activities. A unit of rangers held camps and develop patriotic feelings amongst the students.

The College campus is enriched with greenery by number of trees such as Peepal, Anwla, Jamua, Arjun, Wooden Apple, Guava and Neem to keep the atmosphere pollution free.
