Mallige Institute of Nursing, Bangalore was established in 2002.

Its affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi health sciences, Karnataka. 

The growth of the organization was seen in 2002-2003 when the bachelor degree of Basic BSc. Nursing was started in order to train quality nurses. Now the Masters in nursing programme is in the process of commencing from 2008-2009.

The Mallige Institute of Nursing functioning under RGUHS, draws its Philosophy from the philosophy and policies of the university.

The faculty of nursing assumes responsibility for teaching research and services and recognizes the need for participation in all there by teacher and student.Mallige Institute of Nursing believe that the individual, from an early age, learns to adopt to this environment,

where she/he develops awareness and achieves participation as a member of a family, community, society.
