Maliba Pharmacy College (MPC), Surat was establised in 2000.

The college is managed by Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal Trust. The aim of the trust is to be a center of excellence for education and research in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Management, Engineering, Science and other emerging areas of higher education.

The greatest feature that distinguishes man from other living beings is the desire of man to improve quality of life. Curing and preventing diseases is the most important step to improve the quality of life. The human brain is always occupied in probing the intricacies of different aspects of human health, hygiene and medicine. Pharmacists play a key role in healthcare system through knowledge based research, manufacture and distribution of quality drugs and pharmaceuticals.

With this objective, Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal (BPKM) established the pharmacy college, Maliba Pharmacy College in the picturesque campus of Gopal Vidyanagar on Bardoli-Mahuva Road. The college came into being on 1st Oct 2000 with the generosity of Shri Naranbhai Patel, an industrialist based in Africa, who had a vision for his motherland.

The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Gujarat; and affiliated to Uka Tarsadia Unversity. It runs B Pharm program with an intake of 100 students and is also running M.Pharm and Ph. D. programs in subjects like Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. Maliba Pharmacy College has also started Pharm. D program approved by PCI from 2017.

The institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure and instrumental facilities; and provides a serene atmosphere for academic excellence. The college houses a voluminous library, classrooms with multimedia facilities, well equipped laboratories, sophisticated instrument center, CPCSEA approved animal house, Computer and Language labs, medicinal garden, auditorium, seminar halls, hostels, canteen and play ground.

We have faculty strength of more than 35, half of whom are Ph.D with experience of more than 10 years. Our core research areas include formulation development, nanotechnology, analytical method development and validation, degradation kinetics, pharmacological screening of drugs for CVS, CNS and GIT disorders, anticancer studies etc. to name a few.

Maliba Pharmacy College has received grants from different agencies like Department of Science and Technology, AICTE, Gujarat Council on Science and Technology, and from Uka Tarsadia University. Maliba Pharmacy College also has consultancy project from LeoLens Technology USA and Sahajanand Medical Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Surat.
