Majlis Arts and Science College, Puramannur (Dist. Malappuram) was established in 1995 and managed by Al Majlisu Liddahwathil Islamiya.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with University of Calicut, Malappuram and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The aim of the college was striving to help our students develop their individual strengths and identities and build confidence to be able to make their own contributions to the society they live in.

It is a co-educational self-financing Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Malappuram played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college started functioning in 1995 with 4 UG programmes and elevated to a Postgraduate College in 2001 with the introduction of M.Sc. Computer science along with B. Com with Computer Application and BBA programmes.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the University of Calicut, Malappuram.

The college offers three years undergraduate and two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations under the University of Calicut, Malappuram.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the University of Calicut, Malappuram, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

50% of seats are filled in open merit strictly in accordance with the norms and regulations of the University and the remaining 50% is reserved for Management quota out of which 20% is set apart for the poor deserving orphans and destitute with full fee concession.
