Maheshtala College, Maheshtala was established in 1971.

The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta.

Vision & Mission:

Since its inception the mission of the college has been to spread collegiate education among the economically challenged and minority community students of the area.

This was to be made possible through introduction of modern subjects, job oriented courses commensurate with needs of the day along with conventional subjects of study.

The college is also committed to making students aware of modern subjects and arranging vocational training to make the students self-sufficient in life.

This can only be achieved by arranging proper and adequate academic and physical infrastructure for learning.
