Mahatma Gandhi College, Guntur was established in 1992.

The college is an affiliated college of Nagarjuna University.

The college has both UG degree and PG degree college which offers MBA, MCA, M.Com and M.Sc in Computer Science courses.

The BBA, MBA and MCA courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India. Sri Vasavi Academy of General and Technical Education was started in 1991 as a non-profit making society registered under the Registration of Societies Act with the cherished missionary goal of imparting qualitative higher and technical education by a prominent educationist, Prof. D.A.R. Subrahmanyam, Best Teacher award from Govt. of A.P. (1993).
