About Maharaja B.R.R.V. Prasad Singh College

Maharaja College was established in the year 1954.

The college is the premier institute of higher education in Bihar.

It became constituent unit of Magadh University Bodh Gaya on 1st Feb. 1976.

After bifurcation of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, the new university, Veer Kunwar Singh University, with headquarters at Ara was established in Oct. 1992.

University was named in the name of Babu Kunwar Singh, a Jamindar of Jagdishpur and a hero of 1st war of independence.

The college is recognized under the 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC and receiving regular grants.

The college strictly observes the UGC norms and guidelines in the academic matter.
