Established in August 1994, Maharaja Agrasen College is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Delhi imparting higher education in the Arts, Science, Commerce, add-on Diploma courses.
The college is affiliated to University of Delhi and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on August 24, 1994, under Act, 1956. It was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade on September 16, 2016.
As a constituent college of the University of Delhi, the college was tentatively named co-educational college in August 1994. Later, the college was rechristened as Maharaja Agrasen College, after a great Indian ruler.
The college is at present location to its modern and spacious building complex covering 10 acres in Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi. The college is fully funded by the Government of India.
Catering to the educational demands of the thickly populated East, the college is today attracting the student intelligentsia from various parts of Delhi, particularly the South and East Delhi areas.
At present, the college offers co-educational undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce stream with various optional specializations. It also offers diploma and add-on certificate courses.
