Madras College of Pharmacy, Avadi was established in 1995.

The college is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr M G R Medical University.

Madras College of Pharmacy is one of the Major Institutions and This College was established in 1987. This College is a Self-financing College Recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and also Approved by the All India Council for the Technical Education, New Delhi.

The scope of pharmacy practice includes more traditional roles such as compounding and dispensing medications, and it also includes more modern services related to health care, including clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information.
