M S Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education & Research (MSRINER), Bangalore was established in 1991.

Its affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.

The institute has been working on achieving certain aims and objectives and the institute is committed to participating in the implementation of national health policies and programs through identification of health needs of the people.

The institute is recognized by the State Government of Karnataka, the Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC) and also the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The institute is currently affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangaluru.

MSRINER aims is producing nursing professionals who will provide preventive and curative services to the people in a wide variety of healthcare settings.

The institute believes that comprehensive and holistic component of nursing care is based on nursing theories and in the application of these ideas in nursing practice.

According to MSRINER, professional education in nursing is a continuous process based on concepts of nursing practices, which needs to be promoted by providing education to the nurses at various levels.
