M.S.College(MSC), Baramba was established in 1963.
Its affiliated to Utkal University.
The aim of the college is to excel as a higher education center for Humanities, Commerce and Science streams. The College is a premier educational institution in the rural area of Cuttack state.
The college is involved to acquire knowledge and develop an understanding of the various procedures and techniques of evaluation and their classroom applications. The college offers undergraduate courses in disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Dedicated teachers associated with the college help the students in achieving their goal. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure. The college comes under the Utkal University, is the seventeenth oldest University in India. Its present campus at Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar is located on a sprawling 399.9 Acre area in the heart of the capital city of Orissa.
The Foundation stone of this Campus was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India on 1st January 1958 and the Campus was inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. It has been recognized by UGC and it also has the membership of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
This is a teaching-cum-affiliating University. This is the largest affiliating University in the country with approximately 267 affiliated Colleges under its jurisdiction.
