M.D.S.D. (Madho Ram Daya Ram Sanatan Dharm) Girls College, Ambala City was established in July 1980. It is located on the outskirts of Ambala City, about 1 k.m form G.T Road, Manji Sahib Gurudwara Chowk.

It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is Grant-in-Aid college in which 95% of the salary of the regular employees is paid by Govt. Of Haryana and 5% by the college Managing Committee. The details of the monthly remuneration of employees are available in the college.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in July 1995 under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade - (in 1st Cycle) in February 2003.

Ever since its inception in 1980, the college has been aiming at the multidimensional development of students by not only imparting intellectual training but also reinforcing moral values.

The college Managing Committee works according to the "Memorandum and Articles of Associations (Constitution)" of Madho Ram Daya Ram Sanatam Dharam Girls College Ambala City, available in the college.

The college has over the years, established itself as an abode of academic excellence with laurels coming its way in Academics, Sports, and other Co-curricular activities.

The institution has secured an honorable status in Kurukshetra University by being declared the Best Women College of The Zone consecutively for many years.

The college imparting education to girls in Arts, Commerce, B.Sc (Fashion and Textile Designing), PGDCA and M.A in Yoga and Health.

It is also running Add-on Courses, short-term courses, IGNOU Centre, PCP of Distance Education Courses of K.U.K. and holding competitive exams of Govt. and other organizations.
