M.A.Chidambaram College of Nursing, Chennai was established in 1992.

The college has been affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. 

The college is approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.

The college is managed and run by M A C (Educational) Foundation, a Public Charitable Trust.

The college aim is to provide high quality education in the field of nursing and provide the required training and skill to the young aspirants, so that they become capable of providing health services to the people of the rural section of the society.
