About Lyallpur Khalsa College of Education for Women
Lyallpur Khalsa College of Education for Women, Jalandhar was established on 7th May 2006 and managed by Khalsa College Lyallpur Education Charitable Trust (Regd.) which was established in 1960.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. It is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur & Govt. of Punjab to offer B.Ed. course.
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.77 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 15th November 2015.
The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.
It is a woman self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Jalandhar played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the many achievements awards in the field of Teacher Training under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) courses for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Lyallpur Khalsa College of Education for Women, Jalandhar in its various departments.

- The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the boys & girls coming from far-off places
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
