under the aegis of Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab to spread higher education in the suburban peripheral area of Cuttack along with upholding the ideals and services of the noted social worker Padmashree Late Sri Lakshmi Narayan Sahu.

It has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditated Council (NAAC) under Utkal University.

The college imparts education in Arts, Science and Commerce in +2 level and Arts and Commerce in +3 level with the hons facilities in Political Science, History, English and Oriya.
