Lake City College of Education, Srinagar was established in 2003.

Its managed by under the dynamic leadership of renowned academician and educationist of the state late Syed Qasim Kazmi with a purpose to provide quality teacher training education within and outside state.

In a short span, the college has been instrumental in building the academic bridge between diverse communities and culture growth of the society at the large.

The college is run by a trust headed by educated , dedicated and well reputed persons of the society.

Principal and staff are all highly qualified and experienced persons selected by the selection committee under the convenorship of Dean, College Development Council of Kashmir University.

The campus has most conductive environment of an educational institution. The college has a Lab-school affiliated to it next door for imparting practical training to pupil teachers.
