Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Raipur was established in 2004.

Its managed by Government of Chhattisgarh Vide act 24, with the aim to transform the nation not the ruling governments and the progress of the country could not be accomplished without the qualitative development in the field of education and positive contribution of journalism.

The University apart from the regular graduate, postgraduate and diploma programs, they also conduct proficiency development programs, media research, seminars and workshops for the professionals already working in media.

The university is located at a self contained campus at village Kathadih, Raipur.

It is roughly 6 kms away from the Bhathagaon Raipur. The Airport is around 20 kms.
