About Kukke Sri Subrahmanyeshwara College
Kukke Sri Subrahmanyeshwara College, Dakshina Kannada was established in 1983 under the management of Kukke Sri Subrahmanyeshwara Temple Trust.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.22 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 14th September 2015.
The starting of the college opened the floodgates of opportunity to rural students of this region. Historically Kukke Subrahmanya was called Kukke Pattana. Till then there were no colleges in the vicinity offering higher education.
It was a flourishing town. The worldwide popularity of Subrahmanya was received due to the temple situated on the foothills of the evergreen Western Gates. Today it is a noted center of pilgrimage.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts stream with various specializations under Mangalore University, Mangaluru.
