Krishma Post Graduate College of Education, Mandi was also known as Krishma Educational Centre (Post Graduate College of Education), Mandi was established on 2003.
 
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. It is also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.81 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 27th March 2011.

The foundation stone of the college was laid down by honorable Chairman of the Society Sh. Krishan Chand, a great educationist and a man of strong will in 2002. The first batch of B. Ed. Started in July 2003 with the intake of 100 students and J.B.T. and M.Ed courses started in the year 2006 with the intake of 50 and 35 students respectively.

Name of the college ‘KRISHMA’ represents the name of ‘Lord Krishna’ and Goddess of wisdom ‘Maa Saraswati’. Lord ‘Krishna’ is the symbol of love, kindness, and power while ‘Maa Saraswati’ is a body of the inspiration who leads us from darkness and falsehood towards light and truth. Thus the name of the college symbolizes the deep sense of love, kindness, power, light and truth.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level.

But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

The college offers two years Master of Education (M.Ed.) course for those who have completed their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the graduation level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

The college also offers two years Diploma in Junior Basic Training (JBT) course for those who have completed their intermediate with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized college/university under the affiliating to Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala.

Students here are admitted who completed their intermediate from recognized college/university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the intermediate level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
