Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Devasthanam College of Education, Painkulam was established in 2007. The College is managed under Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Devasthanam Educational Service Society. Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Devasthanam Educational Service Society was established in 1985. The Society has been formed by the managing trustee of the famous temple in Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu, India. Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Devasthanam Educational Service Society has been started with the aim of imparting quality education to the under privileged of the area. The Society runs one Matriculation Higher Secondary School, where more than 1500 pupils from far and near, mostly backward classes and below poverty line are receiving quality education. The Society also runs a craft and tailoring unit for the uplift of the downtrodden women of the village. The College is recognized by government of Tamilnadu, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli and NCTE Bangalore to maintain quality teacher education for their beneficiaries.
