Its Affiliated to Calicut University. 

after approving permission from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Ministry of Health, Government of India. KMCT Medical College is a self financing institution run by Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust (KMCT) established in 1994 by Dr. K Moidu.

Dr. K Moidu is a leading medical practitioner with the support of their children all of whom are also into the medical profession. The trust is a registered public trust managed by a board of trustees of high public eminence.
