KJ Somaiya Medical College & Research Centre (KJSMCRC), Mumbai was established in 1991.

It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and has been recommended for recognition by the Medical Council of India.

The College is recognised by the college of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay to train candidates for its diplomas in subjects of Pathology and Microbilogy, Biochemistry, Dermatology, Psychiatry, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Obst. & Gynaecology, Radio-diagnosis, Preventive and Social Medicine, Anaesthesiology and Paediatrics.

The College has established collaboration for exchange of students and for training, with Yale Medical School, New Haven. Cornell Medical Centre, New York and School of Public Health, Harvard. K.J.Somaiya Hospital located in the same campus has a strength of 550 beds and is a teaching hospital attached to the Medical College.

It has facilities to provide relief to patients who are suffering from different diseases.

The Clinical departments are well equipped having OPDs, 10 Indoor patient wards and 9 operation theatres.

The Institution is conducting constructive academic and health oriented activities to create awareness in the general public and Medical fraternity by holding various community services, well attended health camps, distribution of health education literature in regional languages and publishing newsletters.
