Khatra Adivasi Mahavidyalaya, Bankura was established in 1960.
To promote the higher education in this region. It is an undergraduate degree college of Arts, and Commerce faculties. It is a grant-in-aid college accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Its aim is to cater the needs of the rural youths of South Bengal not only in the field of education but in other aspects such as health, economy, sports, environment, social awareness etc. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Burdwan University.
