Keshab Chandra Das Commerce College (KCDCC), Guwahati was established on 7th November, 1983. It is located within the Guwahati city at a distance of 37 kms from the Gopinath Bordoloi Airport, Borjhar, Guwahati and 3 kms from the Guwahati railway station.
Late Keshab Chandra Das is the founder of the college. It is one of the well-known centre of commerce education in the North-East and imparts education in Commerce both at the Higher Secondary level and the Under Graduate level.
The college is affiliated to Gauhati University, Guwahati and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) Act, 1956. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade.
Initially, the college functioned in the evening with one hundred and seven students in the premises of Sonaram H.S & Multipurpose School, Bharalumukh, Guwahati .On the 30th of November,1994, the college was shifted to its permanent site at Chatribari, Guwahati, and since then it became a day college.
The college came under the deficit-grants-in-aid system in the year 1998. At present it has ten departments, viz-Accountancy, Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics, English, Assamese, Hindi, Bengali and Information Technology and it imparts education to more than eighteen hundred students with an efficient and dedicated teaching staff.
The college imparts learning to more than twenty six hundred students with an efficient and dedicated teaching staff. KCDCC has developed over the years and is deeply committed in its effort to establish itself as one of the foremost of institutions dedicated to commerce education in the country.
The college offers two years Higher Secondary Courses in Commerce stream under Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC), Guwahati and three years Degree Courses in Commerce stream under Gauhati University, Guwahati. It also offers some Career Oriented Courses / Add On Course.
The college also has a Contact Centre of Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), Gauhati University for PG courses.
Besides this, the college is running a
Study Centre of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOPU), Guwahat.

The students are expected to maintain a high standard of discipline inside and outside the college campus
- No student will be allowed to enter the college campus after 10 AM and leave before 2:30 PM
- No student will be allowed to bring cell phones to the college. Strict action will be taken against those who bring them to college
- Students are required to maintain the property of the college. Otherwise, a mass penalty of Rs.500/- will be imposed for destroying the college property
- To maintain a Tobacco Free Zone, smoking and chewing paan-masala in the college campus will treated as a major indiscipline of the students. A mass penalty of Rs.500/- will be imposed for spitting in the classroom, toilets, staircases or anywhere in the college campus
- Students are required to maintain the property of the college. Heavy compensation will have to be paid if caught in the act
- Strict decorum is to be maintained in case of language. No slang language or any crude language will be tolerated
- A student shall not be allowed to sit for the B.Com or Higher Secondary Exams as a regular candidate if he or she has not attended a minimum of 75% between delivered in each subject separately
- Uniform for both boys and girls is compulsory
- Students must be in their uniform during Fresher’s Social, Foundation Day, Open Sessions and meeting of college week and also during Examination
- No student will be promoted to the next higher class or allowed to appear final examination if he/she is unable to secure 30% marks in aggregate in the unit tests of the college
- It is also mandatory for the students to always bring the identity card to college
