KCES's Moolji Jaitha College, Jalgaon was established in 1945 and managed under Khandesh College Education Society (KCES), which was established in 1944.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
 
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.63 on a 4 Point Scale in the 2nd cycle) on 15th September 2012 to 14 September 2017.

The college main aim is to graduate well-educated students who are prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing, increasingly complex world and to be a pre-eminent educational institution that prepares students from diverse backgrounds for productive careers by providing them with a student-centered, practically focused quality learning experience.

Khandesh College Education Society (KCES) has been established numbers of colleges/schools for the student in the region of Maharashtra and all over the India.

KCE Society is an amalgam of 21 institutions which offers an extensive range of academic programs at primary, secondary & Higher secondary levels, apart from a plethora of courses & programs in higher education that encompass Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Law, Education, Management, Engineering, along with skill-based programmes such as B. Voc., APJ Skill Development Centre, Geoinformatics, Animation, Multimedia, etc.

It is a co-educational self-financed private institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Jalgaon played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

This college has awarded as the best college by the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. Also Numbers of an award in publication, offering scholarship also awarded by the different society.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college has been selected under "Star College Scheme" of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi. This college is also certified with ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

At present, the college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce streams with optional streams under Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune.

The college also offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, & Commerce streams with various specializations and offers two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream under North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. It also offers Doctorate (Ph.D.), Diploma, and Certificate courses.

The college also offers distance mode education courses for the students which are affiliated with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik.
