About K.B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research - Gandhinagar

K.B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (KBIPER), Gandhinagar was established in 1995. Its Affiliated to North Maharashtra University.

KBIPER is synonymous with excellence in pharmacy education in Gujarat state. The institute is located on the Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya campus, Sector - 23; which is at the heart of Gandhinagar city and about 27 km. from Ahmedabad city. The institute is spread over 20,000 square meter area. It is now home to almost 1000 students and staff and is Wi-Fi enabled from end to end.
 
KBIPER campus is a Wi-Fi enabled digital campus, enabling students and teachers to stay connected at all times no matter where they are: in classrooms, labs, cafeterias or restaurants, hostels and libraries. Teaching and learning, as a result, is a pleasurable pursuit that transcends physical boundaries of a classroom or library.

There are a lot of facilities to supplement classroom teaching. These facilities encourage and aid students in innovative thinking and pursuing careers of their choice. The institute has 15 air-conditioned classroom s with audio-visual facility.

Library, perhaps the best in the pharmacy colleges in the Gujarat state, can accommodate more than 100 students at a time. Centrally air-conditioned library is located on the top floor. It provides access to a range of databases on the campus network, e-resources to its vast collection. It has a separate computer lab, group study area and private study area. Students can have access to more books worth more than Rs. 1 crore.
 
KBIPER is geared to meet the same demanding standards to create great professionals and citizens by inspiring them in many ways. Research has always been an area of paramount importance to KBIPER. The importance increased tremendously after obtaining the deemed university status. There has been a dramatic rise in the publications, patents, doctoral degree awards and grants awarded by funding agencies since then.

KBIPER has published more than 400 research publications, 8 patents since 2010.

Girls and boys have separate blocks and each block has a fixed capacity. Hostel rooms are well ventilated, comfortably-furnished and make for a good home away from home. For first-year students, accommodation gives them the comfort of company as they settle into their college and course. It also gives them opportunity to make friends and get acquainted with the campus and its facilities.
 
Alumni are the mirrors that reflect the image of the institution to which they belong. The students passed out from the institution are likely to keep in touch to know about the recent developments in the institute. This would make them proud on discussion with their colleagues that their institute still cares for them. The Alumni Centre acts as a link between the alumni and the alma-mater. To assemble the alumni on the same platform and to build a strong public relation, institute has come up with a cell called Alumni Centre which started in the year 2010. Institute conducts an alumni meet wherein many alumni are likely to participate. The institutions invite the distinguished alumni to present a lecture or for an interaction with the students as an epitome for the fresher's. Institute keeps updating the records of the alumni regarding the changes in their profile.
 
The safety of students, faculty and visitors is important to us. KBIPER is urban campus, and basic security measures must be observed to personal safety. Campus is equipped with 24 x 7 CCTV cameras which keeps an eye on what's happening inside and outside of the campus.
