Kapi College of Education was established in 2006 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The College is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and it is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU). The educational institute in Madurai offers full-time one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

The Institute was established with an aim to provide quality education which also enables the students to focus on developing the culture and social changes in society. The founder and managing trustees are from the backward village which is the major reason they are focused more on community education and cultural and social enhancement.

Kapi College of Education was formed with the motivation by Professor G Arumugam, a student of Gandigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu. He gained status in the society due to the graceful financial assistance and disciplined education he got from Gandhigram Rural Institute Founded by Mama Shri. G. Ramachandran and nurtured by Anna S. Krishnamoorthy. To honour their dedication to rural development and educating rural society, Professor G. Arumugam has proposed the institutes and will be proposing more in time to come.

The key objective is Kapi College is "Promote Education and Promote Poor". The motto of the institute is 'To seek truth is knowledge", which has been taken from Tirukkural.

The college is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU) and claims that it has an outstanding infrastructure starting from library to bio-science lab. The college is also running a language lab which makes students ready for the future workplace. The insitute holds a range of seminars on various fields in their seminar hall.

The library is impressive with a collection of hundreds of journals and magazines along with reference books and study materials. The computer lab, ET lab, Physical science lab, bio-science lab and psychology lab in the college are impressive.
