About Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kharkhoda

Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kharkhoda (KMK) (Sonepat) was established in 1993.

It is a multi-faculty premier institution with highly qualified academicians imparting education in different fields.

The college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.10 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 1st May 2017.

It is situated in the rural heartland of Haryana and is conveniently accessible to the girls of the area.

It is making an ardent effort for providing quality education in Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Commerce, and Computer Science and also provides Master's Degree in Hindi, Geography, Commerce, P.G. Diploma in Yoga and four Add-on courses to girls of the region. In the changing economic scenario, there is a great demand for such courses.

These courses encourage practical learning skills which will facilitate the students to ensure some viable employment for them. Students are the first runners in the University merit list.

The Commerce students of the college topped in University merit in the session 2013-2014. Heartiest congratulations to those who brought laurels to our college.

The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
A fleet of ten buses is available for students within a radius of 50 km's.
The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies.
The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the boys & girls coming from far-off places.
The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject.
To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution.
The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology.
The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
