Kandhaswamy College of Education was established in 2006 at Namakkal in Tamil Nadu. The college is promoted by Trust for Educational and Social Development of Women and Youth, Which was started in the year 2001 with a dream to provide education to all. The Trust started its niche in the teaching field in 2006 with Kandhaswamy College of Education (B.Ed.).

Education is believed to be the driving factor for technical innovation and economic growth. Kandhaswamy College of Education is not just focusing on social development but also on the humanitarian goals which are the major reasons for its success. Kandhaswamy College of Education was approved by NCTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

Prof. Dr. A.K. Natesan is the Honourable Chairman of the Kandhaswamy College of Education, Who has dedicated 25 Plus years of service to the field of education as lecturer & professor besides advisor to many educatioal trusts. His wife Mrs. N. Parvathy is the Managing Trustee and Dr. N. Mathan Karthick, Son of Dr. A.K. Natesan, is the Vice-Chairman. However, Dr. K. Sakthivel is the Prinicipal of Kandhaswamy College of Education.

Many students who are pursuing education in Kandhaswamy College of Education will have an opportunity to grab the best possible standard textbooks and reference books along with books written by popular authors. The Library is also equipped with facilities such as high-speed brandband Internet Connection.

Kandhaswamy College of Education has the Department of Physical Education,  which is equipped with all indoor and outdoor facilites for both staff and students. To college  also provides an opportunity for students to prove their skills in sports and games by hosting tournaments like TNTEU sports and games.

The college is accessible to students and staff members  beacuse of providing buses for transport. The buses are circulated in a radius of 50 Km which covers the places such as Erode, Chittode, Gobichettipalayam, Bhavani, Salem, Mettur, Andiyur, Sankari, Tiruchengode, Komarapalayam, Ammapettai, Edappadi, etc.

However, a nominal fee is collected in order to travel in the college buses. Apart from this, a large number of buses are run by the state government which connects the college to other destinations.

The college also runs a hostel for the students who are from farther places. The hostel is provided with well-furnished, ventilated and required amenities. The college also contains facilties such as the reading room and cafeteria. Providing nutritive food is a feather in the college's cap.
