Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College, Ludhiana was established in 1992 and managed by Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.)
The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B++" Grade ( in 1st Cycle) on 2nd February 2006.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The aim of the college was to give prestigious development in excellent and congenial academic environment and also committed to helping the students achieve their cherished goals.
It was a co-educational self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Ludhiana played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Management, and Commerce streams and offers two years of post-graduate in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Panjab University, Chandigarh. It also offers Post Graduate Diploma and Add-On Certificate courses.
To inculcate ethical and moral values amongst students, the college has also started two study centers: Gandhian Studies Centre & Guru Nanak Studies Centre under the guidelines of U.G.C.

- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
