Kamala Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Karimnagar was established in 1997.

KITS is is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  It is sponsored by Voditala Education Society.

The campus, located in a mango grove stretching across 10.78 hectares is known for its scenic beauty. The sprawling lush green campus provides aesthetic appeal and has a serene atmosphere that is very conducive for learning. The management and employees of the institute have been making all-out efforts to accomplish and sustain the objectives for which it was established.

The institute, for a decade and above has substantially grown in infrastructural facilities and attracted academicians of proven competence as its faculty and gained recognition amongst academic circles as one of the Premier technical institutions in the region. The institute has excellent state-of-art infrastructure, dedicated faculty and employees, excellent residential facilities and above all very good placements. The infrastructure includes academic buildings, tutorial rooms, drawing halls, extensive library, separate hostels for boys and girls, well-equipped laboratories, A/C Seminar hall, auditorium a modern indoor games complex, guest house, quarters for the faculty and residence for the Principal.

The institute offers undergraduate programs in five disciplines of engineering viz, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and a post graduate program(M.Tech) in Advanced Manufacturing Systems. Every year more than 500 students graduate out of the portals of the institute. Besides striving for academic excellence, Campus placement record at the institute is one of the best of its kind in the Telangana State. TCS, INFOSYS, SATYAM, WIPRO, IBM are some of the companies that visit the campus. Out of the handful colleges in Telangana State accredited for Campus Placements, by the Software Leviathan, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) KITS(S) is one such institution.

The institute has a facility of star rated Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), which helps in improving placement records and at the same time brings about overall personality development of the students to meet the requirements of the corporate sector. The institute provides a progressive direction under the leadership of eminent technologists, able administrators and academicians with great acumen from within and outside the institute.
