About Kalka Dental College

Kalka Dental College, Meerut was established in 2006. It is one of the constituent units of Kalka Group of Institutions, Meerut.

It is a professional institution where a student is trained according to the needs of the society to become a competent dental surgeon.

The college is surrounded by a number of neighboring villages, which provide the essential clinical material so vital for training in the field of Life Sciences and maintaining health care of both the rural and urban population.

The college is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh (CSC) University, Meerut was formerly known as Meerut University, Meerut and recognized & approved by Dental Council of India (DCI), New Delhi. It is also recognized by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

A student, here, is provided with the deep knowledge to treat dental and oral ailments with the help of five-year comprehensive course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

BDS course recognized by DCI comprising of 4-year curriculum followed by 1 year compulsory paid rotatory internship and MDS programs in 5 specialties wiz periodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, pedodontics and orthodontics approved by DCI.

Aims:

To groom a breed of 'complete professionals' in dental healthcare, who are 'complete human beings' by inculcating in them the qualities of love, affection, respect, regards, good values, morale, adherence to medical ethics and at the same time professional knowledge and capability comparable with the best in the profession internationally
The college strives to do it by offering them the best infrastructure, faculty with proven track record in academics as well as clinical practices, practical training in diagnosis and treatment - preventive, curative, and other means used to restore dental functions, the maxillofacial area and the adjacent and associated structures

The college has an impressive and pollution-free campus with panoramic green surroundings, elegant landscaping, and beautiful flower-beds
The campus is built on 25 acres of prime land set in the idyllic environs of Meerut U.P. Ideally located and is a safe haven of lush greenery, pollution free, with plenty of fresh air, conducive to a student life
The college has well-equipped with modern facilities like library, laboratory, classrooms, computer lab, canteen, seminar halls, common rooms, auditorium, multipurpose halls, playground & hostel etc.
Conforming to the Dental Council of India (DCI) regulations, the college is fully equipped with ultra-modern equipment in the dental clinics, pre-clinical and research labs to create appropriate environment for teaching, learning, and patient care
The campus has the uniqueness of many majestic buildings, large lawns, well-maintained playgrounds along with supporting facilities. It has been planned, designed and constructed to address broader issues that relate to resource and energy conservation
The Library of KDC was set up in the year 2008 and has since been upgraded with the latest of all information catering to the needs of all specialties of dentistry
The Central library is housed in a well-furnished, illuminated and covering about 8000 sq.ft
The college takes pride in its separate Hostel facilities for girls and boys within the college campus. Echoing the same architectural language of the main building the Hostel combines the modern design sensibility of less is more with a fresh interpretation of traditional concepts of inner courtyard to allow a natural circulation of light and air

State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
