Kaliabor College, Nagaon was established on 26th July, 1969. It is one of the premier institution in the region of Nagaon and has been rendering valuable service to the cause of spreading higher education in Kaliabor area for the last 45 years.

The college is affiliated to Gauhati University, Guwahati and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) Act, 1956. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade.

Kaliabor college is fast growing institution of higher education in middle Assam. It has been catering quality education in Arts, Science and Commerce in affordable price to this large area of Nagaon District as well as parts of Sonitpur, Karbi Anglong and Golaghat Districts.

It has been also catering need based and diverse professional courses in recent times. The college is always trying its best to provide good class room infrastructure equipped with latest audio visual aids..

The college offers two years Higher Secondary Courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC), Guwahati and three years Degree Courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under Gauhati University, Guwahati and also offers some Career Oriented Courses / Add On Course.

The college also has a Contact Centre of Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), Gauhati University for PG courses. Besides this, the college is running a Study Centre of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOPU), Guwahat.
