K.L.E. Society’s G. I. Bagewadi Arts, Science and Commerce College, Nipani (Dist. Belagavi) was established in 1961 under the management of K.L.E. Society, Belagavi.

It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to the Karnatak University, Dharwad and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.35 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 15th September 2016.

The college is located at Nipani a semi rural place situated in multi lingual Karnataka-Maharashtra border area.

The first collegiate institution of KLE was established in 1932 in the form of the Lingaraj College which offered a degree in Arts. Subsequently, the Society established several colleges offering degree and post-graduate courses in Science, Arts, and Commerce across Karnataka. Then, this was the only college covering major parts of Belgaum and Bijapur Districts.

In 1966, the college was named after Late Shri. Ganapati Ishwar Bagewadi who donated a munificent sum for the development of this college. The wide range of programs offered is a reason for our institutions being the most preferred destination for studies and research. The collaborations with famous Universities world over have added a new dimension to our legacy as we aspire to bring a global perspective to our curriculum.
