K.L.E. Society's College of Education, Hubli (Dist. Dharwad) was established on 18th September 1986 under the management of K.L.E. Society, Belagavi.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) in December 2004 & 12(B) in September 2010 under Act, 1956. The college is admitted to Grant-in-Aid by Government of Karnataka in May 2009.

It is also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bengaluru to offer B.Ed. courses and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.77 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 14th September 2015.

Since its inception, the college was started in J.G. College of Commerce premises. Later in the year 2000, it has been shifted to a new, beautiful building situated in a well spacious area in the B.V.B. Campus.

The college aims at preparing teachers who help to shape the tender minds into humane, creative & innovative citizens of the society. The institution has focused on meeting the demands of modern society providing skillful training to student teachers. The college has a local governing body which monitors and guides the academic & administrative aspects of the college.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
