K.B.Postgraduate College of Mirzapur was estsablished in 1957.

Its affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth.

At present there are 14 departments and three faculties those of Arts, Science and teaching staff of about 52.

The main aim of the college is to promote skill and produce young people who are intellectually sound, morally upright, socially committed and economically self reliant.

At present the number of the students in the college is about 7000.

The college is also fully alive to the advances of information technology and has upgraded its communication system by introducing computers and internet facilities in various faculties, libraries and administrative offices.
