Justice Basheer Ahmed Syed College for Women, Chennai was established in 1955 with the prime objective of providing effective & efficient education.
The college is affiliated to University of Madras and is Accredited by NAAC.
The college is approved by govt. of Tamil Nadu.
The College was established under the auspices of The South India Education Trust(S.I.E.T).
Admission is open to all eligible women students, irrespective of their religion, caste, creed or community.
The College is an autonomous institution and has introduced “Choice Based Credit System” in conformity with the recommendations of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education(TANSCHE).
