JSPM’s Jaywantrao Sawant College of Education, Hadapsar (Dist. Pune) was established in August 2008 and works under the guidance and sponsorship of Jaywantrao Awale Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, which was established in 1998.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956. 

It is also recognized and approved by Govt. of Maharashtra & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal to offer B.Ed. course and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The objective of the trust was creating centers of excellence for education in the field of Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy, Management, computers etc. 

It is co-educational self-finance Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Pune played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) courses for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
