Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekara Bharathi Memorial College, Sringeri (Dist. Chikkamagaluru) was commonly known as JCBM College, Sringeri was established in 1965, managed & sponsored jointly by Bharathi Vidya Samsthe, Sringeri, and Academy of General Education, Manipal is being managed by Sri J.C.B.M. College Trust.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
 
The college is affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shivamogga and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 20th December 1976 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (in 2nd Cycle) on 5th January 2013.

Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekara Bharathi Memorial College of Arts, Science, and Commerce is a major effort, of the Academy of General Education, Manipal, towards providing better opportunities for the University Education to the younger generation of the state.

The college has been one of the best colleges of the University and the Sadhana Puraskara for being the best performing college was awarded during 2009 -10.

This college offers Pre-University and Under Graduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce disciplines. Also, a dedicated team of skilled and experienced lecturers is associated with providing quality education to the students.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students in its various departments. The college has well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms with all modern facilities.
