Jayaram College of Engineering & Technology, Trichy was established in 1994. 

The Institute is an prestigious institution was founded by Gandhi Rural Development Educational Trust with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi.

Jayaram College of Engineering and technology was formed under the Gandhi Rural Drvelopment Educational Trust under the Chairmanship of Er. M. Subramaniam on 14th November 1994 with 3 UG Courses (Mech, ECE & CSE) affiliated to Bharathidasan University. Subsequently, 3 UG Courses in Electronics and Instrumentation, Information Technology and Electrical and electronics Engineering & 5 PG Courses in MCA, ME (COmmunication Systems), ME (CSE) and ME (Manufacturing Engineering) and ME (Power Systems) were started. At Present, all the above courses are offered under the Anna Univeristy Curriculum.

The faculty members with adequate industrial exposure are highly qualified, dedicated and committed to the students fraternity. There is equal emphasis on theoretical concepts as well as practical insights which makes our programmes the right weapon to conquer the career goals.

The campus comprises of aesthetically designed buildings that are networked by optic fibre links. The Institution has established excellent infrastructure, modern workshops and lavs, seminar halls, auditoriums and well stocked libraries in addition to sports and games fields.
