Its affiliated to Mysore University, Mysore and to Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Shimoga District from 1987 and later to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore since 1996.
J.J.M. Medical College, Davangere is a unit of Bapuji Educational Association.
