J.E.S College of Education, Visakhapatnam was established in 2002-2003, as per the Recognisation order of the NCTE and as per GOMS 41 of Andhra Pradesh. The College was establsihed by Jain Educational Society, whose Members are devoted for the cause of Education. 

J.E.S College is a co-education college with permitted intake of hundred candidates every year. During 2005-2006 the premises of the college has been shifted from Daba gardens, Vishakapatnam to Chinna Nushidi Vada, which is  part of greater Vishakapatnam.

The Management of the college aims at giving excellent education to teacher trainees and make them vision teachers who can bring about changes in education so as to build modern India.

The college of teacher education is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at J.E.S College of Education in its various departments.
