Islamiah Institute of Technology (IIT), Bangalore was established in 1979.

The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

It has been established by the Islamic mission of India with the objective of providing excellent technical education.

The aim of the institute is to create a center of excellence with state-of-art facilities for the purpose of grooming young talent in the field of technology and research and to train human resources to be captains of industry and new world technology.
