Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Guwahati formerly the Food Craft Institute was established in 1984 by Government of India, Ministry of Tourism is now upgraded to full fledged Institute of Hotel Management since 1995 and affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management, Noida.

The Institute is sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India & Govt. of Assam.

They are fully equipped with modern days teaching implements and methodology which are put to the best use under the able supervision of a team of highly qualified & trained members of faculty.
