Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad was established in 1989.

It ranks among the premiere hotel management institutes of India. IHM Aurangabad is a joint venture between Maulana Azad Educational Trust (MAET) and the Taj Group of Hotels.

The institute is approved by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is a member of Leading Hotel Schools of the World (LHSW).
