Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Ahmedabad formerly the food Craft Institute was established in 1972 by Government of India, Ministry of Tourism.
The institutes was upgraded to full fledged institute of Hotel Management in 1984.
The institute has become one of the premier institute in the country since then.
It is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management, (An Apex Body Under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India), Noida.
