Indian Computer Education Society (ICES), Cochin was established in 1990, functioning as a voluntary organization when computer education was in its infantile stage.

Its affiliated to Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.

The ISO 9001:2000 Certified Indian Computer Education Society was registered as per Travancore Cochin Charitable and Cultural Societies Act 1955 with Registered and Head Office at Kochi.

For the execution of IT@SCHOOL, the Government of Kerala had empaneled ICES. On completion of the 1st academic year, ICES bagged 60 schools and adorned the 1st place in conducting the project in the most no. of schools.

The necessity of a Society for Computer Training was conceived considering the limited resources available for the IT industry that was then in infancy. There were deficiencies in infrastructure, study material, organized examination and the like and every institute then was his own master. Considering these aspects the Society was formed with the prime casue of containing the exploitation to some extent and following objectives.

• Standardize Computer Education.
• Promote Computer Training Institutes in location far away from important Towns and Cities
• Conduct Scholarship to the economically backward.
• Conduct Examination to specified syllabus.
• Prepare Text Books to standard syllabus for the benefit of the students.
• Persuade Central/State Governments to recognize the activities of the Society as per norms.
• Prepare the legitimate rights and privileges of Member Computer Educational Institutions
• Educate general public about computer and it's applications.
• Other professional guidance for employment to students.

We are proud that we could contain the exploitation to a great extent as well as function well keeping the objectives always in mind and practice.

The Research and Development Division of ICES and the Syllabus committee is formed to cater to the latet Industry needs through its valueable job oriented industry recognised courses. ICES has standardized the course content and all the Institutional Members
