Indhira College of  Education, Thiruvallur was established in 2002.

It is affiliated to University of Madras and approved by NCTE.

The college offers Bachelor and Master Degree courses in the field of education. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Indira College of Education in its various departments.

The Institute offers Diploma in Education for those who have completed Higher Secondary Education with a minimum marks of 50% marks in aggregate. Indhira Educational & Charitable Trust was formed a decade ago and the deed of the Trust was executed in 2002.

The founder of the Trust Mr. V.G. Rajendran is a construction professional and has successfully promoted a number of residential complexes in and around the city of Chennai.
