International Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research (IIRS), Khandagiri (Dist. Bhubaneswar) was popularly known as IIRS, Bhubaneswar was established on 3rd December 2006 and founded by Mrs. Bishnupriya Mishra which was managed by Astha Charitable Trust.
This trust promoted IIRS with a noble intention of spreading education in Allied Health Sciences & Rehabilitation sectors.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
It is affiliated with the Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is also recognized and approved by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi & Women & Child Development, Govt of Odisha.
The aim to promote institutions for running programs aimed at rehabilitation of persons with disabilities (PWDs) with a long-term goal of continuously developing a pool of human resources at par with international standards.
The major activities of IIRS are human resource development, research, rehabilitation service, material development and information documentation.
It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of a Bhubaneswar played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The Institute harnesses the expertise and experience of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, adept in audiology, speech-language pathology and physiotherapy to offer a wide range of services like assessing and rehabilitating individuals suffering from Neuro-Language and speech disorders, hearing disabilities, psychological disorders due to speech and hearing impairments.
The college offers four academic years including one year of internship undergraduate program in Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT), and Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) under Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
The college also offers two years of Diploma course in Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) which was approved by Bharat Sevak Samaj, National Development Agency, under the Government of India.
